The hotel is in a great location very close to Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park. It is surrounded by excellent restaurants and is near downtown Charleston. The room I stayed in was clean and had a balcony.

I appreciated those guys, providing EXCELLENT service. The room was spotless, and modern, with it's own balcony and coffee. The staff was very, very nice when needed.

It's well-kept place to stay 1 mile away from Hampton Park. It has comfortable location, 12 miles away from the airport. The rooftop restaurant in the hotel is good, has fine dishes.

Exceptionally comfortable beds

Favorable location near the historic district. Extremely spacious and absolutely perfect rooms. Great restaurant, pool, hot tub, and gym. Convenient proximity to Riverdogs baseball stadium, Citadel, and Brittlebank Park

The hotel was fairly clean and we had a well-appointed and stocked room. Booked a room with incredibly beautiful views of the lake. The very amiable staff offered us a great breakfast.

Had a really good stay for my son's wedding

I've stayed here several times, mostly because of its proximity to the Citadel. The staff could not be more helpful or professional. Upon check-in, we were given two free drink coupons. The bar is excellent, and the staff is great. The shuttle to downtown Charleston ran regularly and the drivers were cheerful and informative. The hotel also accommodated my room switch request quickly. a great location, friendly staff, and excellent amenities.

Room was beautiful, clean and thankfully, did not reek of chemical cleaners (I'm allergic). Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have celiacs disease and kept eating just the eggs and bacon, and yet, got "poisoned" anyway. So, either you use a mix for the eggs that have wheat gluten in it, or you cook it on the same range with the same tools as wheat products. I found many restaurants in Charleston to be very aware and sensitive to gluten sensitivities. I was pretty shocked that after just an egg and bacon breakfast, every morning, I was sick.

Comfortable room and gym facilities

This is a problem of many US hotels that the windows are permanently sealed. That means you are not able to get any fresh air except through air-conditioning system. If you are not used for this (like me) you are in trouble!

Well-kept hotel with breathtaking views over the marina. Room was a nice size the food was tasty, 3 stars. Service-minded and genuinely professional staff providing excellent services. The location was comfortable and absolutely perfect and beds were comfortable. Walking distance to a shopping area and a historic market across the street. A good restaurant and a roof top bar available.

The location of this place is convenient for visiting attractions, including The Citadel, and there is a great dining option called Daily Grind within a short walk from here. If we come back to this city, we will definitely choose to stay here again.

My husband forgot a very nice white dress shirt. We called about it a few hours after we checked out and realized that he had forgotten it. The "lost and found" procedure was to leave a detailed message about the item and we would get a response back within 24 hours. We never received a call, so I called back to check the next day. While the person I spoke to was friendly, she did not find the shirt in her inventory. Although it was my husband's fault for leaving it, I was surprised that a nice hotel like the Charleston Marriott would have an honest staff that would make efforts to contact hotel guests about left items. In an age where cell phones, emails are easy methods of communication - I guess I expected more.
